Greek Raw Oak Honey

It is fantastic quality, a perfect match with greek yoghurt with nuts, breakfast cereals or on a cheese board. If you like aromatic honey, you won't be disappointed.

Oak honey is harvested from the honeydew produced in the bark of the trunk of the ancient oak tree combined with the varieties of the wild Herbs of the forest. The beehives moved to the Virgin oak forest of Evritania Greece, where we harvest this excellent quality of honey.

Health Benefits: Oak honey is characterized as honey of very high nutritional value. Rich in antioxidants and minerals, it contains large quantities of potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron and sodium. The enzymes it contains support metabolism and vital organ function. Beneficial for the digestive system.

Produced by our friend, Thomas and his family in mainland Greece, just about 2 hrs North of Athens. Thomas is a 3rd generation bee-keeper, who learned everything from his father and granddad.

So tasty and complex. Not too sweet like some flower honeys and not too deep and malty. Semi thick but still runny. My favourite!

Never disappointed!

Very tasty and it’s a honey I’ve bought more than once as it resembles the honey from back home pretty much��has a rich molasses type taste. I was so shocked when I received it as delivery was very quick, I got it the day after without having to pay any extra fees.

Fully Crystallized

Item disposed. Even the color didn't match. Oak honey is extremely dark brown. The color of the fully crystallized honey sent was orange.

Raw Artisan Honey Shop

Dear George, Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. Raw honey by its nature crystallizes with time, it is because the honey hasn't been heat-treated, pasteurised or micro-filtered. Unfortunately, we can't control this aspect of our raw honey, because we are not using any processing or heat treatment. If you like your honey runny, just put the jar in a pot of hot water and let it melt, repeat until the desired consistency is achieved. PS: When honey crystallises its colour becomes much lighter, if you melt the honey it will be back to its original dark colour. If you need further assistance please get in touch.
